Active Ingredients

Mineral Nutrients

Iron (Fe) is integral part of haemoglobin in red blood cells and myoglobin in muscle cells ferry oxygen throughout the body. Also needed for energy metabolism in chemical reactions in the body and for making amino acids, collagen, neurotransmitters and hormones.

It is part of the enzyme Fe superoxide dismutase (Fe-SOD) that detoxify oxygen radicals in the Anti-oxidant mechanism and therefore indirectly improves immune efficiency. Iron is needed to treat anaemia and for enhanced wound healing.

Zinc (Zn) in combination with Vit C, rendering the Anti-oxidant system to function optimally, removes the oxygen radicals and lifts the load on the immune system, which boosts immune function and help control the inflammatory response. Zn is also an integral part of the Cu-Zn SOD enzyme of the ant-oxidant system to detoxify oxygen radicals and to boost the immune function in every cell.

Zinc in conjunction with Vit C will ward off acne flare-ups with the resultant red inflammation (oxygen radical build-up). Research shows zinc is effective in healing skin lesions, like in the treatment of acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

Zinc is essential to form enzymes and proteins and create new cells. It mobilizes vitamin A from storage in the liver. When taken with certain antioxidants, zinc may delay the progression of age-related muscular degeneration. Part of many enzymes, needed for making protein and genetic material, has a function in taste perception, wound healing, normal foetal development, production of sperm, normal growth and sexual maturation, immune system and general health

Copper (Cu) has been known to combine with certain amino acids in the body to produce enzymes that act as catalysts for various body functions. Thus, copper peptides supports the process of rebuilding new collagen and elastin into the skin.

Copper is also an integral part of the Cu-Zn SOD enzyme of the Anti-oxidant system to detoxify oxygen radicals and to boost the immune function in every cell.

Plays an important role in iron metabolism in helping Iron to make red blood cells. Part of many enzymes. It has been found that biologically effective copper-peptides help the skin to regenerate new collagen and elastin which improves skin firmness and elasticity, Increase the production of water-holding glycosaminoglycans which is true moisturization and copper repairs damage to the protective skin barrier.

Copper is also known as the facelift in a bottle.

Manganese (Mn) helps form bones. Helps metabolize amino acids, cholesterol, and carbohydrates. Part of many enzymes. Manganese is also an integral part of the Mn-SOD enzyme of the Anti-oxidant system to detoxify oxygen radicals and to boost the immune function in every cell.

Selenium (Se) is a key player when it comes to slowing the signs of aging. Se is part of the Glutathione reductase and Glutathione peroxidase enzymes and has a direct role in the chain reaction of the biochemical Anti-oxidant system in cells to neutralize free radicals. In combination with the three SOD enzymes, they complete the chain reaction to protect cells from free radical damage. When activity of links in this chain reaction are compromised due to deficiencies of any of the 5 trace elements namely Zn, Fe, Cu, Mn or Se, there will be a build-up of Oxygen radicals in cells that will damage or kill the cells, manifesting as inflammation which in turn will increase pressure on the immune system. This results in higher susceptibility to infection and impairment of normal body biochemical processes and physiological diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, aging etc can take hold.

Recent studies continue to emphasize the importance of selenium and other antioxidants on cell health and therefore skin health and reducing the risk of skin cancer is important. It helps cells to fight infection via supporting the anti-oxidant in every cell and indirectly supporting the immune system. Helps regulate thyroid hormone activity.

Molybdenum (Mo) forms part of several enzymes and supports kidney health, immune function, maintain healthy bones, teeth and skin and support sexual function.

Phosphorous (P) helps build and protect bones and teeth. Part of DNA and RNA. Convert food into energy. The universal biochemical energy molecule that supplies energy for chemical reactions in all cells namely ATP, contains 3 P ions for every ATP molecule. Part of phospholipids, which carry lipids in blood and help shuttle nutrients into and out of cells. Important for healthy bones and teeth; found in every cell; part of the system that maintains acid-base balance.

Potassium (K) balances fluids in the body. Helps maintain steady heartbeat and send nerve impulses. Needed for muscle contractions. A diet rich in potassium seems to lower blood pressure. Getting enough potassium from your diet may benefit bones. Needed for proper fluid balance, nerve transmission, and muscle contraction.

Headaches can be the result of an imbalance between Sodium and Potassium.

Magnesium (Mg) has the health benefits that includes its power to act as a catalyst to speed up the absorption of calcium in the body, eases stiff muscles, prevent muscle spasms. It also lowers cortisol production, thereby potentially helping to reduce acne and helps to stabilise any hormonal imbalances in the body. Needed for many chemical reactions in the body. Works with calcium in muscle contraction, blood clotting, and regulation of blood pressure. Part of bone and teeth structure.

Sulphur (S) form bridges that shape and stabilize some protein structures. Needed for healthy hair, skin, and nails. Found in protein molecules and enzymes.

Vitamins

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) helps the body’s cells change carbohydrates into energy, therefore converting food into energy. The main role of carbohydrates is to provide energy for the body, especially the brain and nervous system. Thiamine also plays a role in muscle contraction and conduction of nerve signals. Support maintenance of healthy skin, hair, muscles, and brain and is critical for nerve function.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) helps convert food into energy. Needed for healthy skin, hair, blood, and brain function. Important vitamin for those prone to acne as it helps to maintain the mucus secretion of the skin to prevent acne breakouts and dry skin. Vitamin B2 revitalizes the skin by promoting healthy cell turnover.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) Essential for healthy skin, blood cells, brain, and nervous system. Improves blood flow. Vitamin B3 can help to improve the condition of the skin, helping to treat rosacea, acne, eczema, dermatitis, hyper pigmentation, sun-damaged, ageing, and dry skin – so it’s a must-have vitamin for healthy, glowing skin.

Vitamin B5 (Panthothenic acid) converts food into energy. Helps make lipids (fats), neurotransmitters, steroid hormones, and hemoglobin. Important for healthy brain function.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is required by the body for the development of red blood cells, cell production and protein metabolism, which assists with the growth and repair of the skin cells. Aids in lowering homocysteine levels and may reduce the risk of heart disease. Helps convert tryptophan to niacin and serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays key roles in sleep, appetite, and moods. Helps make red blood cells. Influences cognitive abilities and immune function. Vitamin B6 helps form red blood cells and maintain brain function. This vitamin also plays an important role in the proteins that are part of many chemical reactions in the body.

Vitamin B9 (Folic acid) is an essential for cell production and tissue growth, ensuring optimum cell turnover for healthy, radiant skin. Vitamin B9 also helps to detox the body, in turn, reducing the occurrence of breakouts and acne. Vital for new cell creation. Helps prevent brain and spine birth defects when taken early in pregnancy; should be taken regularly by all women of child-bearing age since women may not know they are pregnant in the first weeks of pregnancy. Can lower levels of homocysteine and may reduce heart disease risk. May reduce risk for colon cancer. Offsets breast cancer risk among women who consume alcohol.

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamine) regulates the production of pigment in the skin, helping to prevent dark spots and pigmentation. Cobalamin assists the body with the protein metabolism which promotes the growth of healthy skin cells and helps to repair damaged skin. Aids in lowering homocysteine levels and may lower the risk of heart disease.

Assists in making new cells and breaking down some fatty acids and amino acids. Protects nerve cells and encourages their normal growth. Helps make red blood cells and DNA.

Vitamin C is a key component of the Anti-oxidant biochemical chain reaction to protect cells against free radical damage. The antioxidant properties of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C a vital molecule for cell and skin health. Dietary and topical ascorbic acid have beneficial effects on skin cells, and some studies have shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV)-induced photodamage. Vitamin C, due to its role in the Anti-oxidant system lowers the risk for some cancers. Long-term use of supplemental vitamin C in combination with Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn will maintain high biochemical Anti-oxidant activity in every cell in the body and protect against inflammation and bolster the immune system.

Helps make collagen, a connective tissue that knits together wounds and supports blood vessel walls. Helps make the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine.

Vitamin D3 important to maintain healthy blood levels of Calcium and Phosphorous by increasing Calcium and Phosphorous absorption and reducing urinary loss of these elements and as a result maintain healthy bones and teeth. Vit D reduces depression, heart disease and cancer. Increase immunity and reduces insulin resistance. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin and is responsible for enhanced uptake of Calcium, Phosphate and Magnesium.

It has been shown to be involved in numerous biochemical functions in various body organs and when deficient will manifest in a whole range of ailments.

PhytoFulvic acid

Life Balance Solution is a unique new nutritional supplement containing Phytofulvates, a natural stable organic extract from trees with medicinal properties. The solution also contains various vitamins and minerals that are chelated to these unique organic molecules and in the presence of the Phytofulvates are highly uptake-able and bioactive and therefore are more effective when taken as an oral solution.

The key compound of the Life Balance Solution™ is the Phytofulvates and it probably have two mechanisms of maintaining and improving human health especially when taken with certain vitamins and minerals that in combination has a synergistic effect:

1. It is known to complex/chelate mineral nutrients and when taken by humans or applied to plants improve uptake and metabolic use of the mineral nutrients.

2. Studies have shown that these types of organic molecules can stop diarrhoea. This is extremely important in cases where consistent and uncontrollable diarrhoea results in a situation where no uptake of mineral nutrients takes place. This results in an ineffective Anti-oxidant system (Halliwell-asada pathway) since the elements Iron, Copper, Zinc and Manganese are specifically needed for this system to effectively detoxify free radicals that build up in tissues, causing severe damage to cells and cell organelles (experienced as inflammation).

Ineffective reactive oxygen radical scavenging or detoxification results in tissue damage with more inflammation which in turn puts pressure on the immune system allowing opportunistic infections to take hold. By effectively removing the oxygen radicals, Phytofulvates protects the immune system and allows for effective control of opportunistic and secondary infections. Phytofulvates increases the rate of energy production inside the cells. Oxygen is absorbed and transferred into cells more effectively in the presence of Phytofulvates.

An ineffective Anti-oxidant system and the resulting tissue damage and inflammation puts pressure on the body’s immune system, causing it to fight against secondary infection (due to weakened natural defence system) to a point where in certain diseases the immune system collapse and the patient has very little chance to survive.

Therefore, stopping diarrhoea and providing highly uptake-able mineral nutrients will support the effective function of the Anti-oxidant system, preventing cell damage, lowering secondary infection, removing the pressure on immune system function and therefore restores full immune system activity.

Phytofulvates enhances the permeability of digestive, circulatory, and cell membranes, thereby increasing nutrient and molecular uptake at cellular level. Research has shown that organic fulvate substances can help prevent, control, or improve a broad spectrum of health problems. Fatigue and general debility are common diseases or stress-associated conditions that are very receptive to treatment with Phytofulvates, which results in patients having more energy, relieve digestive problems (especially diarrhoea), improve memory and cognition, improve diabetes, reduce allergies, increase sex drive, improve the quality of life, and seems to have a marked improvement on various disease conditions. Similar natural organic compounds have been used for centuries by Eastern cultures to boost immunity and prevent diabetes. The fact that it almost acts as a “cure all” preparation can scientifically be explained if the role of the Anti-oxidant system (Halliwell-Asada biochemical pathway) in living tissue are understood.

Chemical analyses indicated that Phytofulvates is safe to use by humans and it has for years been used in animal nutrition products in Europe and SA. Phytofulvates are organic electrolytes that is amongst the most powerful natural free radical scavengers and antioxidants known. Phytofulvates can behave as electron donors or acceptors, depending upon the required condition to be balanced. This antioxidant characteristic in part explains the effects seen with the improvement of the immune system and the increased energy levels experienced by patients taking Phytofulvates.
